Have you ever heard of a couple who went through eight years of long-distance relationship?

Well... I just did! And it was an amazing experience for me :)

28th of April 2018. It was an honor to be working with such a friendly and bubbly couple.

We brainstormed ideas together on our Whatsapp group chat. They were so open about their story, and not shy at all about sharing their feelings.

It came as a shock to me when they told me that they’ve been in a long-distance relationship for eight years. What amused me even more was when I found out that they write letters to each other often. Which personally, I find it very cute.

The first time I met Reiny face-to-face was during the technical meeting. We planned further on her pre-wedding shoot and we decided to document the day Calvin landed in Jakarta.

On the day, the day when Calvin and Reiny were finally reunited, I could not contain my excitement! My heart was skipping. I was so stoked to witness the two finally meeting each other once again.

Of course, in life, plans rarely go according to your way. That day, before we were even ready. Before the camera was rolling and me yelling “action,” out of nowhere, Calvin popped up to us…

But the shoot must go on, right?

Their feelings were raw. The chemistry that they have. The happiness on their faces! They were translated beautifully on camera.

Finally. The big day. Their wedding day! I was so excited! Too excited, I should say. I went to Reiny’s house bright and early. I wanted to see her before she met her prince. She looked more beautiful than ever! With happy tears welling up in her eyes and big radiant smiles on her face.

I couldn’t be more happier for them as they finally tied the knot after 8 long years! They looked so much in love and I can feel the happiness aura around them. I wish them lifelong happiness and a happily ever after! Cheers!
